1. Base Surface Treatment
Clean gaps and surrounding surfaces thoroughly to remove dust, oil, moisture and loose debris. Polish the surface when needed to enhance adhesion. Dry and clean base is essential for sound sealing.
2. Gap Treatment
Keep gap width between 0.5-10mm. Narrow gaps hinder filling while wide ones require multiple applications. Insert foam backing rod into broad gaps before gluing to cut material waste and improve sealing performance.
3. Application
Load sealant into caulking gun and extrude steadily. Fully fill gaps evenly without voids or bubbles. Smooth and trim the sealant closely against substrates, and wipe off excess material promptly.
4. Curing & Maintenance
Avoid touching or vibrating components after application. Let sealant cure naturally in cool and ventilated surroundings for 24 to 72 hours as instructed. Prevent water exposure during curing period.
5. Safety Protection
Wear gloves and masks to avoid skin and respiratory contact. Acidic silicone sealant is corrosive; keep it away from vulnerable materials and human body.
